Toni Morrison: I think I need to go through more fonts but most of my drafts are trying to convey “nuances” “divisiveness” “skin color” “oppression” “erasure” “literature” “social justice” and “the antithesis of exclusion”. I think all those themes are representative of Toni Morrison as a person who worked to bring light to the stories of Americans that are often erased and forgotten to preserve the greatness of the nation. I’m still trying to figure out how to show the nuances of oppression and racism through typography.
